Where to Eat in El Nido

Most of the restaurants in town cater to tourists, but there are also many smaller shacks that serve Filipino food. When we eat in town, we like to stick to the newer establishments because they tend to have better food safety standards. You can check out the top restaurants according to Tripadvisor here.

These are a couple of our favorite places to eat and drink!

Restaurants

Altrove – Thin crust pizza made in a wood burning oven. Get there early because long lines form outside at dinnertime or check out their new Corong Corong location in the Pops District which is much less busy. Altrove opens at 5pm. Altrove Express right around the corner has much faster service.

Bella Vita – This pizza bar in Corong Corong just opened in October 2016, and it has the best pizza in town. The Chef’s Special (goat cheese+honey) and the Quattro (four cheese) were our stand out favorites!

Bulalo Plaza – Our favorite restaurant for Filipino food, and it’s open 24 hours! There’s also a bakery in the restaurant that has the best chocolate cake and cupcakes in town.

L’Assiette – Delicious French/Asian food with a great view. Get the tanigue with dill sauce – delicious! They also sell crepes and homemade ice cream in front of their restaurant. Plus they have great wifi! (our review here)

Artcafe – Filipino food tends to be heavy on rice and meat and light on vegetables so if you’re craving a veggie fix, get a salad at Artcafe. They grow their own organic greens! They are also one of the few establishments that accept credit cards. (our review here)

Bars

Sava Beach Bar – The newest and best bar to hit the El Nido nightlife scene! The best cocktails in town (our review here), and definitely some of the most delicious food in town.

Republica Sunset Bar – Republica is one of the most popular spots because of its location on a hilltop overlooking Corong Corong. The best spot to catch a sunset.
